Before Day One (beforeday1.com and civility.work) is a free program from Peak Employment Solutions ("Peak," "we"). By using the site you agree to these terms.

What this is

Before Day One is an educational program about workplace expectations. It is free. It is not a test, and it does not give legal, medical, or career-counseling advice.

No promise of a job

Using this site, finishing the program, and sending a certificate to Peak do not create an employment relationship, do not guarantee a job, an interview, or a placement, and do not submit a job application. To apply with Peak, use Peak's pre-application.

The certificate

A certificate shows that the person named on it finished the program. It is not a score, a grade, a license, or a measure of how well someone will do a job. Do not alter a certificate, make a fake one, or use someone else's. We may withdraw a certificate that was obtained or used dishonestly, and a withdrawn code stops verifying.

Your account

Give a real email address that is yours. Keep your sign-in codes to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your sign-in.

Using the site

Do not try to break, overload, or get around the security of the site, and do not use it for anything unlawful. We may limit or end access to anyone who does.

Our content

The lessons, the Civility@Work guide, and the other content on this site belong to Peak Employment Solutions and its author, Michael R. Frazier. You may use them for your own learning and may print your own certificate. Please do not copy, republish, or sell the content without written permission.

No warranty, and limits on responsibility

The site and program are provided "as is." We try to keep everything accurate and available but cannot promise it will always be. To the extent the law allows, Peak is not responsible for losses that come from using, or being unable to use, this free site.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia.
